Terms of use
Short version: the tools are free, they run on your device, and you are responsible for the files you put through them.
What SoloStep is
SoloStep provides image and PDF conversion tools that run entirely inside your web browser. There is no account, no subscription and no server-side processing. The site is operated by Vansh Sharma.
Using the tools
You may use the tools for personal or commercial work, free of charge, with no limit on how many files you convert. You may not use them to process material you have no right to process, or in a way that breaks the law where you are.
Because everything runs locally, you remain in control of your files at all times — and equally, you remain responsible for them.
No warranty
The tools are provided as they are. Conversion is a lossy process for most formats, browsers differ in what they can decode, and some files will fail. We describe the known limits on each tool page as accurately as we can, but we cannot guarantee a particular result for a particular file.
Keep your originals. Do not treat a converted file as a replacement for the source until you have checked it. SoloStep is not liable for any loss arising from use of the tools.
Your files
Files are never uploaded, never stored and never seen by us. They exist only in your browser's memory until you close the tab. This means we cannot recover anything for you afterwards — download your results before leaving. See the privacy page for the detail.
Advertising
The site currently carries no advertising. If that changes, adverts will be clearly separated from the tool controls, will never be styled to resemble a download button, and will never receive any information about your files. This page and the privacy page will be updated before any such change goes live.
Changes
These terms may change as the site grows. The date above always reflects the current version. Continuing to use the tools after a change means you accept the updated terms.
