What to watch out for
Choosing a resolution
72 DPI is fine for on-screen viewing. 150 DPI suits most printing and reading. 300 DPI is for print or OCR, and produces much larger files.
Pages, not embedded images
This renders each page exactly as it appears, including text and vector graphics. It does not extract the original photographs embedded inside the PDF.
Protected PDFs
If a PDF needs a password to open, you can enter it here and it stays on your device. Some documents use encryption that browsers cannot read at all, and we say so plainly.
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert only some pages?
Yes. Enter a range such as 1-5 or a list such as 1,3,7 and only those pages are rendered.
What DPI should I choose?
150 DPI is the right default for most uses. Choose 300 for printing or OCR, and 72 if the images are only for screen.
Does it work on a password-protected PDF?
If you know the password, yes — enter it and it is used locally. PDFs with certificate-based or unsupported encryption cannot be opened.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs in JavaScript and WebAssembly inside your own browser. Open your devtools, switch to the Network tab and run a conversion — there is no upload request to see. Closing the tab clears the working session.
